Shubenacadie Provincial Wildlife Park
The Shubenacadie Provincial Wildlife Park is set in 40 hectares of natural woodlands, and is home to about 90 species of mammals and birds, two interpretive centres, hiking trails, a picnic area and playground. In 2016, Ducks Unlimited Canada and the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources embarked on a series of strategic planning exercises to increase visitation numbers, improve the visitor experience, and create a more cohesive identity for the site. Working with AldrichPears Associates, I helped develop a Wayfinding Signage Plan as part of achieving these goals. The plan included a complete hierarchy of signage designs, the identification of proposed signage locations, a redesigned park map and an updated visitor brochure.
